Guard of Honour
We invite all Dicksboro Club members, friends from our neighbouring GAA clubs, work colleagues, school and college communities, and all friends and family of Christy to join us in forming a Guard of Honour as a mark of respect following the funeral Mass on Wednesday morning.
=======================================
It is with deep shock and profound sadness that we share the tragic news of the passing of our young club player, Christy Murphy. Christy was cherished by all who knew him in the club, and he held a particularly special place among his U21 teammates, who admired his spirit, friendship, and unwavering commitment on and off the field. His loss will be felt deeply throughout our entire community.
On behalf of everyone at Dicksboro GAA and Camogie Club, we wish to extend our heartfelt sympathies to Christy’s brother Aran, his mother Frances, and his sister Roisin. Our thoughts are also with the extended Murphy and Treacy families at this incredibly difficult and sorrowful time, and we are holding Christy’s late father Stephen in our thoughts as well. We hope they can take some small comfort in knowing how loved and respected Christy was within our club.
As we come together in grief, let us support one another and honour Christy’s memory in the days ahead.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
